What you'll be doing
You'll be joining CIBC SPT EPSP Team as a Consultant, Application Development. You will provide strategic alignment between business, architecture and technology teams and provide the overall EPSP delivery and oversees development of cross-functional systems, guidance in the development to ensure the technology used and solutions are aligned with the overall CIBC technology, business strategies, roadmaps and industry trends.At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. To successfully perform the work, you'll be on-site full-time. You'll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you'll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.
How you'll succeedDesign and Development- Perform and coordinate complicated application programming activities as API solutions for applications.
Strategic Planning- Develop multi-year technology roadmaps that align with the bank's vision, strategy, and business goals. Lead multiple complicated projects involving backend systems, new technology, and the enhancement of existing applications.
Team Management- Participate in reviews of requirements, architecture, design and test plans to ensure they are clear and understandable for implementing the solution. Analyze business and/or client processes and practices and work with design consultants to identify and recommend opportunities for enhancement.
Who you areYou can demonstrate 8 years+ experience in. Software development and programming experience. Must have 5+ years of experience in product/system delivery of projects implemented at an enterprise level. Demonstrated experience in Web Services, XML, Object Oriented Design, JSON and RESTFul services, API Microservices, Security solutions like Oauth/OIDC, SAML, SSO, etc. It's an asset if you have experience with Jenkins, Jira or Confluence, and/or other build & deploy tools. Proven experience deploying applications on any of the cloud platforms is an asset.
