Position Summary:

Western Mechanical is seeking a full-time construction worker/general labourer to support the civil department at our company in Barrie, Ontario. The civil department oversees a wide range of functions and tasks within the organization. Work will vary from one project to another. We are seeking applicants with versatile experience with various construction tasks.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will have previous experience that demonstrates their ability to accomplish tasks including, but not limited to:

Loading and unloading construction materials, and moving materials to work areas.

Mixing, pouring, and spreading materials such as concrete.

Operating hand tools, power tools, and working around heavy machinery.

Rebar, welding, and fabricating forms and setting.

Demolition and repair work including but not limited to, drywall, masonry, and general construction.

License:

Ontario G Class Drivers License (Required)

Reliable Transportation (Required)

DZ or AZ Licence (An Asset)

Term, Hours of Work and Compensation:

We expect to compensate the successful candidate at hourly rates consistent with market expectations and based on experience.

Benefits, GRSP, and Employee Assistance Program (EAP) available after 3-month probationary period.

This is a full-time position.

The role is entitled to vacation pay and paid statutory holidays.
