We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Construction Trade Recruiter to join our Human Resources team. This role focuses on sourcing, attracting, and hiring skilled tradespeople and construction professionals to meet the increasing demands of our projects. The ideal candidate will have recruitment experience, a strong understanding of the construction industry, and the ability to build relationships with both candidates and hiring managers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate with unions to fill open positions.
• Develop and implement effective recruiting strategies to attract top-tier talent in construction trades (e.g., Operators, Deck Engineers, Welders, Deckhands, etc.)
• Collaborate with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and job requirements.
• Source candidates through various channels, including job boards, social media, career fairs, and industry networks.
• Screen resumes and conduct initial interviews to assess candidates' qualifications and experience.
• Coordinate and schedule interviews with hiring managers, ensuring a smooth candidate experience.
• Maintain a talent pipeline of skilled trade professionals to meet current and future hiring needs.
• Develop and maintain relationships with trade schools, apprenticeship programs, and industry associations.
• Stay up to date on labor market trends and best practices in trade recruitment.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations.
• Promote diversity and inclusion throughout the recruitment process.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
• Proven experience in recruiting, preferably in the construction or skilled trades industry.
• Strong knowledge of the construction industry and skilled trade roles.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment tools.
• Strong networking and relationship-building abilities.
• Commitment to delivering an exceptional candidate experience.
