Construction Surveyor - Competition #JCL120

JCL Investments is a leader in the construction industry in NL, with a commitment to excellence and innovation. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality projects that exceed our clients' expectations. We are currently seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Construction Surveyor. This is a project-based position located at Valentine Gold Mine located in central NL. The current rotation for this project is 14 days on and 7 days off.

Responsibilities

Complete survey projects, such as establishing localized control, topographic surveys, non-legal boundary surveys, quality assurance as-builts, quantities and volumes, construction layout and return, and field grading stakeouts. Create and manage field survey files. Operate GPS equipment (Experience with Topcon is considered an asset) on civil / heavy industrial jobsites. Perform topographic surveys to determine volume quantities for progress billing. Verify existing and set new survey control as required. Calculate given elevations/measurements from drawings and perform layout.

Qualifications

A relevant technical diploma Experience in construction surveying an asset. Proficient with GPS & Total Stations Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D Familiar with Civil construction plans. Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the construction and drafting/survey industry. Must possess a valid driver's license and clean driver's abstract. Pre-employment background checks will be required which may include employment verification, employment references, education/certification check, and criminal record check. Pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screening will be required.
