Small, progressive, well established Geomatics/Civil Engineering Services Firm located in Lethbridge, Alberta looking for Construction Survey Chief

Duties & Responsibilities:

Taking direction from Survey Crew Manager & receiving training from existing Survey Crew Chiefs

Responsible for care and maintenance of truck and equipment

Uploading data files; meeting with clients at construction sites; keeping clear, complete and accurate field notes;

Working as a one person survey crew or being in charge of 1 or 2 survey assistants

Strong working knowledge of: GPS Receivers; Robotic Total Stations; Laser Scanners and conventional levelling gear

Performing topographic surveys, building stakeouts, road layout, underground pipeline and site grading surveys

Job Skill Requirements:

Diploma in Geomatics Engineering, Civil Engineering or Engineering Design and Drafting preferred

Minimum 2 years relevant work in the construction industry

Proficiency with Autodesk products, such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, AutoCAD Map and AutoCAD an asset

Valid Class 5 drivers license (Drivers abstract may be required)

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Attention to detail, team player, with enthusiastic attitude

Be physically fit

Pay: $28.00-$35.00 per hour
