Our client, a well-established organization in the energy sector, is seeking a
Construction Supervisor
for a long-term contract position. The successful candidate will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of construction activities on-site, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence. This role reports directly to the Project Manager and typically supports small to medium-scale projects.

Key Responsibilities
Plan site mobilization and construction execution.
Direct, manage, and coordinate all on-site activities.
Conduct regular site meetings and ensure effective communication between all stakeholders.
Supervise on-site contractors and ensure compliance with project standards.
Coordinate with the Materials Planner to ensure timely delivery of materials.
Monitor, evaluate, and report construction progress against established schedules.
Ensure quality assurance, identify deficiencies, and oversee corrective actions.
Collaborate with site leads to identify required materials and equipment.
Ensure strict adherence to safety and environmental requirements.
Provide regular progress reports to the Project Manager.
Identify and manage change requests in accordance with project scope, cost, and schedule.
Enforce the
Field Change Authorization
process with contractors.
Communicate with landowners and stakeholders when necessary.
Support the Project Manager with project closeout activities.
Qualifications
Minimum of
three (3) years
of progressive leadership experience in construction project supervision.
Minimum of
five (5) years
of field experience in an industrial environment.
Valid driver's license required.
Proficiency in
Microsoft Office Suite
(Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written), with the ability to interact effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
Skilled in team leadership, coaching, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Self-motivated and able to work independently or collaboratively within a team.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data analysis and reporting.
Willingness to travel as required for project needs.
Bilingualism (English and French) considered a strong asset.
Proven ability to proactively identify and mitigate risks related to safety, quality, cost, and schedule.
