We are currently seeking an experienced Construction Site Supervisor to join our team and manage our single family and multifamily construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management: Plan and coordinate construction activities, ensuring all materials and work meet specified standards and regulations. Oversee construction crews and uphold strict adherence to safety protocols.
Collaborating with Construction Managers, clients and other management personnel when determining budgets and timelines.
Scheduling and Efficiency: Organize project schedules to ensure continuous progress and optimal efficiency. Ensure the project is completed within budget, on time, and meets quality standards.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive project records, including daily reports and timesheets, as well as documentation related to Change Orders, submittals, and subcontracts
Manage site start-up, organize and coordinate subcontractors, including obtaining all necessary permits.
Establish, monitor, and implement quality control procedures at construction sites.
Conduct regular building inspections throughout various construction phases to verify that structures align with client specifications.
Coordinating deliveries of material and equipment with suppliers and vendors.
Supportive Duties: Perform additional tasks as directed by the Project Manager.
Skills
3-5 years of experience in a similar supervisory role.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
Strong understanding of construction safety regulations and practices.
Familiarity with methods, equipment, and materials used in residential construction.
Computer savvy with the ability to utilize relevant technology effectively.
Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record.
Additional certifications in safety, project management, or construction (e.g., WHMIS, PMP) are a plus.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and construction plans.
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.
Relevant certifications or training in construction management is an asset.
