Supervise workers and projects Co-ordinate and schedule activities Recruit and hire workers and carry out related staffing actions Estimate costs and materials Ensure health and safety regulations are followed Read blueprints and drawings Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies Leading/instructing individuals Resolve work problems, provide technical advice and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality Establish work schedules and procedures Ensure that construction permits are obtained Complete reports on product inspection Co-ordinate work activities with other departments Review and evaluate commercial or industrial development proposals Train staff/workers in job duties, safety procedures and company policies Construction site supervision Consult with government regulatory and licensing agencies to ensure conformance to provincial standards Plan and organize construction projects Coordinate work activities to ensure projects meet deadlines and budgets Conduct quality audits
