Site Supervisor Profile



The Site Superintendent is responsible for successfully meeting all project requirements as per plans, budgets, timelines and specifications to ensure the quality of all work performed on site meets or exceeds client expectations.

Site Superintendents will monitor and report on all daily activities onsite to their General Superintendent to ensure the progress of assigned projects on their sites and stay compliant to expected project costs. Superintendents will promote and ensure compliance with safety regulations on their sites and ensure standards for safe working conditions are observed

In this role you will also:

Provide direct project oversight with the support and leadership of the General Superintendent for assigned projects

Coordinate and supervise daily project activities of assigned staff and subcontractors

Track material and manpower hours usage to stay compliant with identified and budgeted goals

Maintain good working relationships with clients, sub-contractors, and site stakeholders

Manage all resources, budget, schedule, labour

Supervise, coordinate and schedule the activities of all workers and subcontractors., including related apprentices, helpers, as required

Site Superintendent Qualifications and Skills



A successful Site Superintendent candidate will have the following prerequisite qualifications, skills, and experience:

At least 3 years of relevant supervisory experience Experience in Formwork Experience working with a variety of structures (residential and commercial) Experience or certification as a Red Seal Carpenter Professional and safety-conscious attitude Basic understanding of budgeting and cost controls Basic project management knowledge and implementation Proficiency in MS suite of tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project, and OneDrive Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English, Spanish is a real asset Excellent interpersonal skills Ability to multitask and prioritize Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Critical thinking and sound judgement in all situations Ability to make effective decisions regarding execution or employee relations Resilience and a positive attitude when under pressure Able to work with diverse and challenging populations Able to maintain flexible work schedule including attending evening/weekend events as needed Strong work ethic Valid BC Driver's License with a satisfactory driver abstract
