NGC Constructors Ltd. (NGC) is a mid-size Owner's Representative, General Contractor, and Construction Management company with offices in Vancouver and Toronto.

Your role Reporting to our Construction Director, as Site Superintendent, you will be responsible for the management of construction projects from start to completion.

You possess a high degree of professional integrity and a commitment to always conduct in the best interests of NGC and its customers, demonstrating strong leadership, good judgment, confidence, initiative, and flexibility.

Responsibilities will include:

As site superintendent, you will be an integral part of the project team Overall responsibility for execution, monitoring, controlling, and overall closure of residential project Overseeing all site activities by any and all sub-trades each day Driving and maintaining the overall construction schedule over the duration of the project Updating the Construction Director with key milestone dates, and forecasting daily, weekly and monthly targets Assisting the project team with overall budget review and cost tracking Issuing work orders for any and all materials coming to the site Site documentation and review of any site changes and cost implications Meet or exceed our client's expectations relating to the overall quality of work

Skills and Experience As Superintendent, you are ready to take an active role in the success of this growing organization and will:

At least 10 years direct Multi family building experience. Highly organized and achievement oriented with strong personal drive Effective communicator, capable of developing and maintaining healthy relationships A proven track record of, budgeting, coordinating and scheduling the on-site activities for the construction of projects from start up through total performance of the work consistent with pre-stated project goals Have the ability to manage and enforce a safe site, maintain a high level of quality throughout the project, manage and coordinate the schedule to achieve completion dates Possess a keen sense of what things cost and how to get things done as cost effective as possible A sound understanding and technical foundation of various building types, traditional sub-contractor work scopes, construction systems and methods, construction specifications, construction tendering practices and contract types, scheduling methods, and cost/change order control and forecasting techniques Proficiency and understanding of basic computer systems (MS Excel, Outlook, Word) An awareness of the bigger picture activities in order to establish the proper priorities, particularly in regards to manpower availability Capabilities to develop agendas, conduct meetings, prepare minutes, action plans with appropriate follow-up and other critical documentation The ability to motivate others outside the position's direct authority to take action and initiative

Contract length: 2 months

Pay: $90,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
