Position Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated Site Supervisor to join our expanding team in Calgary. In this key leadership role, you will oversee the safe and efficient execution of demolition, hazardous material removal, and site preparation projects. The ideal candidate will be organized, safety-focused, and comfortable leading crews in active job-site environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and coordinate on-site abatement activities, including asbestos, mold, biohazard removal, debris disposal, and selective demolition.
Lead daily safety assessments, conduct toolbox meetings, and enforce safety protocols to maintain a strong safety culture on site.
Organize site setups and workflows to ensure projects meet timelines and client expectations.
Provide guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback to team members and temporary staff.
Act as the primary on-site contact for clients and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and professionalism throughout the project.
Qualifications:
Previous supervisory experience in construction, remediation, or hazardous material removal.
Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on operational efficiency.
Comfortable with mobile apps and basic Microsoft Office software (e.g., Outlook, document sharing).
Ability to pass a criminal background check.
Legally authorized to work in Canada without sponsorship.
Physically fit to lift up to 70 lbs, handle materials, and stand for extended periods.
Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record.
Preferred Certifications:
Alberta Asbestos Abatement Worker Certification
First Aid Certification
Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Certification
