Job Description

NextStar Energy (NSE) is a joint venture between LG Energy Solution and Stellantis. NextStar Energy will be Canada's first large-scale lithium-ion battery production plant when it begin production at the site on over 200-acres of land on Twin Oaks Drive near Banwell Road.


The manufacturing facility is targeted to have an annual production capacity in excess of 49 gigawatt hours and will create an estimated 2,500 new jobs in Windsor and the surrounding areas.


We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Safety Supervisor to join our Equipment Integration Team.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily field operations and ensure all work is completed safely, on time, within budget, and to quality specifications. Coordinate, direct, and supervise all site construction activities and field personnel. Daily Site Management and Safety Inspection & Audit Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, subcontractors and OEMs to develop and maintain project schedules. Enforce site safety policies and ensure compliance with OHSA, local regulations, and internal standards. Monitor work progress and provide direction to resolve field issues. Ensure proper documentation of work progress, delays, incidents, and changes. Hazard Identification and Control : Identify hazards related to the work and implement control.

Minimum Requirements:

Minimum 1~2 years of experience in construction safety management preferably on large-scale or industrial projects Relevant safety certifications (e.g., OSHA, LO/TO process, etc)

Preferred Requirements:

Experience with MOL requirements and regulations at construction sites. Strong communication and organizational skills. Extensive knowledge of Ontario Building Code, Ontario construction regulations, and OHSA compliance. Strong understanding of industrial construction sequencing, quality control, and safety management. Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and trades on a dynamic, multi-phase project.
