Service Manager

to join our team in Etobicoke, On.

Position Overview



The

Service Manager

will oversee all post-construction service operations, including warranty work, maintenance, and client support for completed ICI projects. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and client relationship skills to ensure service excellence and operational efficiency. The Service Manager will work closely with clients, project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to resolve issues promptly and uphold the company's reputation for quality.

Key Responsibilities



Service & Warranty Management



Manage all post-construction service requests, warranty claims, and maintenance work for ICI projects. Coordinate inspections, troubleshooting, and resolution of deficiencies in compliance with contractual obligations and industry standards. Maintain accurate records of service requests, actions taken, and resolutions.

Client Relations



Act as the primary point of contact for clients during the warranty and service period. Provide clear, timely communication to clients regarding service status, timelines, and next steps. Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and build long-term relationships for future business opportunities.

Team & Subcontractor Coordination



Assign and oversee the work of technicians and subcontractors. Review and approve service-related work orders, estimates, and invoices. Ensure all work is performed safely, efficiently, and to company quality standards.

Operational Excellence



Develop and maintain service processes, workflows, and documentation for efficiency and consistency. Track and analyze service performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement. Manage service budgets, schedules, and resource allocation.

Health & Safety Compliance



Enforce compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (Ontario) and company safety policies. Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections for all service work.

Hours of Operation:

8:00 am - 5:00 pm, 8-hour shift required

Qualifications



Education & Experience



Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience). Minimum 5-7 years of experience in ICI construction, with at least 2 years in a leadership or service management role. Strong understanding of Ontario Building Code, construction contracts, and warranty requirements.

Skills & Competencies



Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written). Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines. Proficiency in MS Office Suite; experience with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend) is an asset. Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and team management abilities.

Licences/Certifications

(an asset)

Gold Seal Certification, PMP, or similar construction-related certifications. Working at Heights, WHMIS, and other relevant safety training.

Working Conditions



Combination of office and field work. Occasional travel to project sites across Ontario. May require after-hours availability for urgent service calls.
