Job Summary


We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Construction Safety Manager to oversee safety protocols and ensure compliance on our construction sites. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining safety programs that promote a culture of safety among all employees. This role is crucial in minimizing risks and ensuring the well-being of all personnel involved in construction activities. This role consists of both office related tasks, and site tasks.

Duties



Evaluate current company policies, identifying areas that require development, ensuring compliance with regulations. Carrying out Safety Talks and safety inspections on all company job sites and ensuring all activities are compliant with safety guidelines Provide training and guidance to employees on safety practices and protocols such as hazard recognition, emergency response, and personal protective equipment (PPE) usage. Investigate incidents and accidents, prepare reports and recommend corrective actions. Collaborate with management to promote a culture of safety and health. Maintain accurate records of safety training, incidents and inspections. Stay updated on industry trends and changes in safety regulations. Submit required safety documentation to General Contractors, ensuring compliance with site-specific safety requirements and submission deadlines. Deliver comprehensive company safety orientations for new hires. Oversee additional divisions, including Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, and Construction.

Experience



Proven experience in a safety management role within the construction industry is essential. COR Certification and previous experience working in COR-certified companies. Bachelor's degree or diploma in occupational health and safety or a related field. Minimum 3-5 years' experience as a safety coordinator/manager in the construction industry or a similar role. Valid Class 5 License and clean drivers abstract. Train the Trainer Certification considered an asset. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to conduct training sessions and presentations effectively. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Safety Management Software. NCSO Designation considered an asset Other certifications: Excavation and trenching, Flag Person, Traffic control considered an asset. Previous experience in Site Docs considered an asset. A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong organizational skills.

Pay: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
