Chabot is Now Hiring:

Construction Safety & Fleet Compliance Officer (for Heavy Construction)



Project Locations: various locations within the Capital Region; headquartered in Bird's Hill/ Oakbank area

Jobsite locations: Bird's Hill, Selkirk, Gull Lake, Winnipeg and Capital region, others as assigned.

Qualifications:

NCSO designation (preferred)

Minimum 2 years heavy construction sector experience

COR Auditor designation (required)

Trainer credentials (preferred)

Motor Carrier NET training

Ability to communicate clearly verbally and written

Strong organization skills and ability to multitask

Attention to detail

Willingness to learn and take on new duties

Physically capable without restrictions and able to lift 20+ lbs

Duties and Responsibilities:

Development and Field-level Enforcement of Safety program elements

Development and Field-level Enforcement of Fleet & Maintenance Program Compliance

Job Hazard Assessments, Safe Work Plans, Safe Work Practice and Procedures: develop and deliver

Conduct Toolbox meetings

Conduct Site Inspections

Deliver Training for Workforce: source, develop, deliver

Workplace, Safety, Health and Environment Committee meetings; schedule, co-chair, document

Incident Investigations and reporting

WCB claims reporting and return to work program coordination

OSHA statistic collection and management

Safety program materials: develop, update, implement/deliver

PPE inventory management

Traffic planning and site signage planning for projects

Completion of annual COR audit

Other duties as assigned
