We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Project Manager and Estimator to oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of construction processes, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires effective communication with stakeholders, adherence to safety regulations, and the ability to navigate complex project challenges. The successful candidate will not only have a strong history of Project Management experience, but will be familiar with the tender process, soliciting bids and submitting tender pricing on closing dates.
Responsibilities
Manage all phases of construction projects, including planning, execution, and closing.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project specifications are met.
Estimate projects, tender them and tender close.
Track projects on Merx and Buildworks, evaluate them and choose to quote them.
Review and interpret blueprints and schematics to guide project development.
Utilize construction management software such as ProCore and Bluebeam for project tracking and documentation.
Conduct construction estimating to prepare budgets and resource allocation.
Monitor project progress and adjust schedules as necessary using tools like Primavera P6.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Communicate regularly with clients, stakeholders, and team members regarding project status and updates.
Prepare reports on project performance, including timelines, costs, and resource utilization.
Skills
Proficient in blueprint reading and understanding schematics.
Experience with construction estimating techniques and tools and proficiency utilizing Excel and related programs.
Strong knowledge of construction management process and the local Edmonton construction Industry.
Strong knowledge of project estimating and tender process.
Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Strong analytical skills for problem-solving in complex construction scenarios.
Effective communication skills for collaboration with diverse teams and stakeholders.

Pay: $75,000.00-$135,000.00 per year
