Job Overview


We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Project Manager to lead and support the successful planning, execution, and delivery of construction projects from initiation through to completion. This role requires the ability to manage multiple projects of varying complexity, communicate effectively with customers and employees and ensure all deliverables meet quality, budget, and scheduling targets.

Key Responsibilities: Project Planning, Execution, and Control

Oversee and support multiple construction projects ranging from low to high complexity. Manage project plans including scopes, schedules, and budgets. Provide regular project status updates to President of the company. Facilitate effective problem-solving with employees. Identify and manage any project risks and issues throughout the project. Ensure project management and tools are used to monitor progress and ensure on-time delivery, as well as, being able to provide the President with issues and solutions on projects. Ensure all construction activities align with internal standards and external compliance requirements.
Construction Management

Oversee all phases of all construction sites, including managing all staff. Review project plans, specifications, and estimates to assess constructability, potential cost savings, and challenges. Prepare scopes of work and coordinate start-up meetings with employees and Generals for various job sites. Collaborate with various site generals to manage construction schedules and site operations. Lead and participate in weekly or bi-weekly construction and sub-trade meetings; prepare and distribute meeting minutes, keeping the president informed. Review site progress, assist with sequencing, and resolve constructability issues. Manage owner-directed changes, informing President of changes and updating for cost adjustments keeping the customer informed. Monitor labor, material, and equipment on all jobsites, ensuring when employees leave the yard they have everything they need for that days work. Ensure site safety protocols are met by all employees on jobsites.
People Management and Leadership

Develop strong working relationships with internal teams and external customers. Support and lead employees, including subcontractors, to maximize performance and motivation. Evaluate employees on all jobsites ensuring they are working to our standards. Manage and help resolve employee conflicts or jobsite related conflicts.
Relationship Management

Keeping a positive and productive relationships with President, employees, sub-trades, and customers. Maintain open, transparent communication.
Qualifications:

Degree or diploma in Construction Management or related field. PMP certification or equivalent project management training is an asset. Minimum 5-7 years of progressive experience in construction project management. Demonstrated experience managing multiple small-to-large scale construction projects. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Knowledge of applicable building codes, contract law, and construction methods. Experience with public and private sector projects considered an asset.
