The Project Manager oversees all phases of a construction project from identifying opportunities and selling projects, to estimate and submitting quotes, and finally to organizing and managing sub-trades, materials, inspections, and the many administrative aspects associated with the successful completion of a project. Working closely with the Senior Project Manager and Construction Manager, the Project Manager will ensure that work is performed correctly, cost effectively, in proper sequence, expeditiously, and to exacting safety and quality standards. The Project Manager may interface with the construction team on site, clients, architects, city officials, consultants, structural engineers, subcontractors, and material suppliers to assist in the planning and coordination of construction projects. Reports to the Senior Project Manager.
Duties
Develop detailed project plans, including scope, schedule, and budget, utilizing construction management software such as ProCore and Primavera P6
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide project execution
Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure project specifications are met thru the process of shop drawing review.
Manage procurement processes, including construction estimating
Monitor project progress through regular site visits and meetings; adjust schedules as needed to meet deadlines
Oversee safety protocols and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
Maintain accurate documentation of project activities, change orders, and progress reports, minutes for meeting when project coordinator is not in attendance.
Lead project team members in effective communication and task delegation to optimize productivity
Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources efficiently while maintaining quality standards
Skills
Proficiency in blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings
Experience with construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Civil 3D, HeavyBid
Strong knowledge of construction estimating processes and techniques
Demonstrated expertise in project management within the construction industry
Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
Familiarity with civil engineering concepts and site planning tools like Civil 3D
Effective leadership abilities to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors
Strong communication skills for stakeholder engagement and reporting purposes
Ability to interpret construction schematics and technical documentation accurately
