Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Construction Project Manager to oversee and coordinate construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, comprehensive knowledge of construction processes, and proficiency with industry-standard management software. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead diverse projects, ensure timely delivery, and maintain high-quality standards across all phases of construction. The Construction Project Manager will be instrumental in managing project teams, liaising with clients and stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and building codes.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate project execution. Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to facilitate smooth project workflows. Monitor project progress regularly, identify potential delays or issues, and implement corrective actions promptly. Oversee site activities to ensure safety protocols are followed and quality standards are maintained throughout the project lifecycle. Prepare detailed reports on project status, costs, and schedules for stakeholders. Lead project meetings to communicate updates, address concerns, and align team efforts. Ensure compliance with all local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.

Qualifications

Proven experience in construction management or related field with a strong understanding of civil engineering principles. Experience working with BC Housing is an asset. Proficiency in blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings. Hands-on experience with construction management software such as ProCore and Buildertrend. Knowledge of construction estimating processes and tools. Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines. Excellent time management skills coupled with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Ability to lead teams effectively and communicate clearly with clients, stakeholders, and team members. Relevant certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent are a plus but not mandatory.
