We are currently seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to join our rapidly growing company in Toronto, Ontario.

Position Summary:



The Project Manager is responsible for ensuring the coordination and completion of projects on time, within budget and within scope. They oversee all aspects of projects. They set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor and summarize progress of project.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:



1.

Keep close and regular communication with clients and project stakeholders.

2.

Execute assigned projects.

3.

Attend on-site and/or virtual progress meetings and produce meeting minutes.

4.

Read and interpret various drawings (e.g., architectural, mechanical, electrical, structural).

5.

Read, interpret, and action client-specific contract documents.

6.

Manage subcontractor and supplier contracts and agreements.

7.

Manage the execution of projects to ensure quality control, scope, schedule, and budgets are strictly adhered to.

8.

Monitor and manage project financials regularly and produce monthly progress invoices to clients.

9.

Maintain project issues log with assistance from the on-site team.

10.

Create project schedules in MS Project and issue an updated MS Project Schedule with every bi-weekly client meeting minutes.

11.

Issue Requests for Information (RFI) in a timely manner to relevant stakeholders.

12.

Create, track, and issue Contemplated Change Notice (CCN) quotes.

13.

Review and manage project Shop Drawings.

14.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date Change Logs.

Along with the assigned Site Supervisor, ensure the overall health & safety of the project site. Support all health & safety initiatives and be an effective workplace role model through the promotion of health & safety.

Attend multiple sites throughout Ontario to conduct on-site meetings and/or tender walkthroughs as required.

Liaise with support teams as required.

Maintains eligibility for and compliance with all requirements set out in RMC's Security Clearance & Site Access Policy, including mandatory self-reporting obligations. Maintains driving eligibility in accordance with RMC's Driver & Vehicle Safety Program, including compliance with all reporting obligations and applicable road safety laws when operating a vehicle for business purposes. Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:



Exceptional understanding of Construction industry principles and techniques. Excellent project management skills, including solid understanding of trade scopes, project sequencing and coordination of work. Ability to read and interpret drawings (architectural, mechanical, and electrical). Good understanding of relevant municipal and provincial codes and standards (e.g., Ontario Building Codes, Ministry of Labour and Occupational Health & Safety Act and Regulations (OHSA)). Must be client-facing. Ability to rapidly build strong relationships with existing and new sub-trades. Ability to work in a team atmosphere and influence others. Self-motivated and operates with a sense of urgency. Must own vehicle and possess a valid G license with a good driving record. Must be willing and able to drive across project sites throughout Ontario as required. Proficiency in English (speaking, reading, writing). Strong computer skills including proficiency with all Microsoft office programs including MS Project. CET / engineer / business / project management courses, college, or university programs graduate (preferred). PMP certificate (mandatory).

Minimum Qualifications:



A secondary diploma and minimum of 3 years of highly successful construction project management experience, preferably for a commercial general contractor.

Employment in this role is conditional upon continued compliance with all legal, safety, driving, and competency requirements applicable to construction project management.

Must meet and maintain all security clearance requirements as defined in RMC's Security Clearance & Site Access Policy, including self-reporting of any changes that may affect clearance or site access.

Must meet and maintain all eligibility requirements in RMC's Driver & Vehicle Safety Program, including mandatory self-reporting of any licence, insurance, or driving-record changes that may affect the ability to drive for business purposes.

Continued employment in this role requires ongoing compliance with RMC's Driver & Vehicle Safety Program and Security Clearance & Site Access Policy.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $80,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
