JOB DUTIES
Define project scope and objectives
Develop and manage project budgets
Prepare detailed project management plans
Negotiate with general contractors and subcontractors to secure contracts
Create construction schedules, deliverables, and milestones
Track and manage inventory of tools, equipment, and machinery
Allocate and coordinate resources (materials, labour, equipment)
Monitor performance of site managers and construction teams
Ensure compliance with building permits, licenses, and codes
Maintain health and safety standards on all worksites
Provide regular status reports to stakeholders
QUALIFICATIONS
Strong leadership and team management abilities
Excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in project management disciplines: budgeting, scheduling, time management, and resource allocation
EDUCATION & TRAINING
Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
Strong knowledge of construction management best practices
Proficiency in project management and construction software
Current knowledge of construction codes, regulations, and permitting processes
WORK EXPERIENCE
Minimum 5 years of project management experience in construction or a related specialty (plumbing, carpentry, masonry, etc.)
Proven experience managing budgets, schedules, and risk in construction projects
Prior experience overseeing construction sites and leading crews
PMP certification considered an asset
