What will be your daily pursuit?:
The Construction Project Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and completion of hospitality construction projects, including food & beverage outlets, hotels, and attractions. This role involves coordinating with architects, engineers, contractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

What will you do in this job?:
Perform due diligence on proposed projects and collaborate with internal stakeholders for corporate approvals
Create and manage Request for Proposals (RFP) for design teams and contractors
Oversee project planning, including scope, budget, timelines, and resource allocation
Lead and coordinate project teams, ensuring smooth collaboration with architects, engineers, and contractors
Manage budgets effectively, control costs, and present regular financial reports to senior management
Track project schedules, monitor progress, and adjust as needed to meet deadlines
Ensure quality standards by conducting site inspections and resolving issues promptly
Identify and mitigate risks, proactively addressing challenges during construction
Serve as the main point of contact for all internal & external project-related communications
Oversee procurement, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor relationships
Ensure compliance with provincial and national park regulations, including health and safety standards
What skills and experience do you need for this job?:
Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project management, preferably in the hospitality industry
Experience working with projects in National Parks is preferred
Proven track record of successfully managing complex construction projects from inception to completion
Overnight travel will be required several times per month
Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and regulations
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, AutoCAD)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
What will your work environment be like?:
This position can be based in Calgary, Banff or the Bow Valley, with the requirement to be on-site in Banff weekly to supervise projects. This is a one-year contract with the potential for extension.
