Construction Project Manager

Job Overview:

Reporting to the Project Engineer, the Construction Project Manager will be responsible for the overall planning and co-ordinating of construction activities and timelines to ensure projects are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Responsibilities:

Plan and oversee construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget

Act as point of contact for customers, construction supervisors, and engineering department

Communicate with internal departments to designate company resources

Monitor progress of projects, communicate progress with stakeholders

Order project-related materials or systems, administration of purchase orders and supplier contracts

Edit, proof-read, and compile quotes, contracts, and checklists

Co-ordinate with external stakeholders, and structural, geotechnical, and civil engineers regarding permit applications and jobsite inspections

Work with Project Engineer to prepare change orders, estimates, and costs

Conduct Health and Safety meetings for new projects, submit Notices of Project for WCB

Prepare deficiency lists for projects and complete documentation for closing out contracts

Successful candidate will possess:

Minimum five years work experience as a Commercial/ Industrial Construction Project Manager

Post-Secondary degree or diploma in Construction Project Management

Technical knowledge of mechanical systems and the ability to create and review 2D and 3D CAD technical construction and mechanical drawings and documents is required

Ability to work accurately under pressure, and to resolve concerns proactively

Fluency in English (written and spoken)

Adaptable/flexible work schedule when required to meet deadlines

Canadian citizenship, permanent resident status, or a current work visa

Valid driver's license - travel to project sites will be required

Pay: $80,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
