Job Description

Timber Restoration Services (TRS) is a leader in the timber construction industry with offices in Canada, USA and Australia specializing in the restoration and or replacement of major timber structures such as vehicle, train and pedestrian bridges, buildings and water structures.

T

imber Restoration Services is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Project Engineer to manage construction projects across Canada. The Project Engineer will work iwth the engineering team and field crew to ensure the project is constructed in accordance with the design drawings, tender specifications, and applicable standards and safety regulations. Occasionally the Project Engineer will also support projects in other countries including the USA and Australia. This position reports to the General Manager - TRS Canada.

Responsibilities



Responsible for the successful management and execution of timber construction projects Support and execute the project planning from conception to completion including estimating, scheduling, leading the field team, managing budgets, resolving engineering issues working with the Engineer of Record Design temporary construction works including shoring, retaining walls, crane lifts, and coffer dams
Other accountabilities include construction inspection, setting work priorities and schedules, client liaison, providing expertise and support to field crews, developing construction plans and details, developing traffic control and shop drawing review.

Required Qualifications



Professional Engineer or EIT Registration in Canada

Ability to obtain valid passport and any required work visas, drivers license

Professional Attitude

Structural Engineering background is preferred Proven working experience in construction management Leadership and human resource skills Demonstrates the ability to work safely Relevant Timber Engineering or Timber Construction Experience Relevant field experience Competent in conflict and crisis management Excellent time management skills Excellent computer/spreadsheet skills Must pass Level I and Level II Certified company offered Timber Courses with 70% or better.
