Construction Project Coordinator

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated, ambitious, and results-driven Project Coordinator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, exceptional organizational skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality construction projects. Experience in residential custom home or multi-unit construction in Great Vancouver is essential. Knowledge of BC Building Code is required. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The salary will be commensurate with experience, and benefits will be available following a 3-month probationary period.

Key Responsibilities:



Define project scope, develop strategies, and ensure successful execution of both new and ongoing projects. Assist and manage the construction team through all phases of project development. Coordinate and oversee the work of trade contractors, ensuring tasks are completed on time and within budget. Procure construction materials and manage the scheduling of deliveries. Plan for operational efficiency, tracking progress to meet deadlines and budget constraints. Negotiate contracts, manage agreement terms, and obtain necessary permits and licenses. Collaborate closely with the office manager, estimator, and managing director to ensure seamless project execution and coordination across all departments. Work with architects, engineers, surveyors, and other professionals during the pre-construction phase to ensure project readiness. Utilize construction management software to plan and monitor workflows for seamless project execution. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and the workforce, ensuring effective communication at all stages. Regularly assess and report on project progress, addressing any challenges or risks that arise. Proactively identify and mitigate risks, ensuring a smooth and successful project outcome.

Qualifications:



Proven experience managing or coordinating construction projects in a leadership role. A degree or diploma in Construction Management, Project Management is required. Exceptional organizational, presentation, and problem-solving abilities. Strong attention to detail with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Highly motivated, self-driven, and a collaborative team player. Ability to collaborate effectively with office teams, including the office manager, estimator, and managing director. Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high standard of work.

Pay: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
