We are currently seeking a
Project Coordinator
to join a long-term, challenging construction project in Canada's Arctic. This role will work closely with and report directly to the Construction Manager / Project Manager, providing critical project controls, coordination, and reporting support throughout the life of the project.
Position Overview
The Project Coordinator will initially be based in
Ottawa
, supporting
mobilization planning, project setup, and early project controls development
. Beginning in
H2 2026
, the role will transition to a
FIFO rotation (2 weeks on / 2 weeks off)
at a remote Arctic site.
This position is embedded with the contractor and plays a central role in
schedule development, cost tracking, forecasting, reporting, and data management
. The successful candidate will act as the backbone of project information flow, ensuring accurate, timely, and actionable data is available to site leadership, the client, and offsite support teams.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Construction Manager / Project Manager and the field execution team with overall project controls and coordination
Develop, maintain, and update
project schedules
(short-interval, weekly, monthly, and look-ahead schedules)
Prepare and manage
daily, weekly, and monthly project reports
for internal and client use
Track
project costs
, commitments, and expenditures against budget
Support cost forecasting and cash flow projections
Assist with change management, including tracking change requests, potential change notices, and approved changes
Maintain organized and accurate project data, logs, and registers (RFIs, submittals, changes, progress, cost, etc.)
Liaise with offsite engineering, procurement, and project support teams to ensure alignment and timely information flow
Support drill and blast activities through schedule integration, reporting, and data coordination
Assist with mobilization planning, logistics tracking, and site readiness activities
Ensure reporting and data management systems meet MineSpec and client requirements
Contribute to a strong safety culture by supporting safety reporting and documentation
Qualifications & Experience
Previous experience in a
Project Coordinator or Project Controls role
within the mining or heavy civil construction industry preferred
Experience on
Northern Canada or Arctic projects
(strongly preferred)
Experience with hard rock mining construction
Exposure to
drill and blast operations
(scheduling, reporting, or cost tracking)
Strong proficiency with project scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project)
Solid understanding of
construction cost control, forecasting, and reporting
High attention to detail with strong data management and organizational skills
Ability to work effectively in remote and fast-paced environments
Strong communication skills, capable of interfacing with site teams, contractors, engineers, and clients
Post-secondary education in engineering, construction management, or a related discipline is preferred
Work Arrangement & Travel
Initial phase based in
Ottawa

Travel to a
