Role Summary and Purpose



The Construction Project Coordinator is responsible for coordinating information such as shop drawings, RFI's, SI's between subtrades and design consultants to ensure all parties using the most current and coordinated information. Focus will be on the delivery of the highest level of fact checking and ensuring all procedure is met and has been thoroughly investigated. Foster a proactive, team-oriented work environment to ensure a high level of customer and employee satisfaction.

Responsibilities



Provide direct support to the Project Manager(s), Assistant Project Manager and Superintendent(s). Provide support during the tendering process with assistance and direction from our Project Manager. Type of tasks include, but not limited to:
o Quantity take-offs,

o Developing scopes of work,

o Communication with contractors/trades,

o Preparing purchase orders and contracts,

o Collecting and monitoring job start documents.

Develop, monitor and update a shop drawing and product data submittal schedule. Assist in obtaining shop drawing(s) and product data from the contractors and trades, review of shop drawing(s) and product data and provide coordination with suppliers, contractors, subcontractors and trades affected by the shop drawing(s) and products. Submit shop drawing(s) and product data to consultants for their review and monitor and follow up with consultants on status of review and return of shop drawing (s) and product data. Distribute reviewed shop drawing(s) and product data to the suppliers, trades, contractors and subcontractors. Assist in the preparation, monitoring and updating of construction schedules. Review and process requests for information from the site superintendent(s), suppliers, trades, contractors and subcontractors. Assist in the developing and issuance of Contemplated Change Notices (CCN), collecting and analyzing extra work pricing from suppliers, trades, contractors and subcontractors in relation to CCN's. Review and analyze time and material extras. Attend site meetings as needed and required. Take meeting minutes as needed and issue meeting minutes to all required parties.

Qualifications



2+ years' experience in the construction industry. Professional and ethical leadership and interpersonal skills, ability to resolve conflicts, excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to use a computer and basic Microsoft Office programs such as Outlook. Proficient in construction terminology. Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions, navigate uneven ground, climb stairs, perform minor physical duties, see and hear well in changing conditions.

Working Hours



Monday to Friday - Daily Hours - (8:00 am to 4:30 pm or 7:30 am to 4:00 pm - depending on the site/assignment) with 60-minute lunch break.
