Summit Electric is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented
Project Coordinator
to support our Project Management and Operations teams on industrial electrical projects. This role plays a key part in keeping projects organized, on schedule, and running smoothly from initial planning through closeout.
Duties
Assist Project Managers with scheduling updates, tracking milestones, and coordinating resources
Organize logistics for field teams, including materials, deliveries, permits, and mobilization
Maintain accurate project documentation: drawings, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and closeout packages
Prepare reports, meeting agendas, minutes, and progress updates for internal teams and clients
Support procurement activities--obtain quotes, issue purchase orders, and track shipments
Help with cost tracking, forecasting updates, and maintaining PO and change-order logs
Communicate regularly with field staff, clients, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution
Contribute to improving project tools, templates, and coordination processes
Experience
1-3 years of project coordination experience (construction or electrical industry an asset)
Strong organizational and administrative skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and able to learn project management tools such as Procore, MS Project, or similar systems.
Basic understanding of construction drawings and project workflows
Excellent communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving mindset
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $68,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
