at Kiwi Newton Group, you'll play an essential role in supporting the successful planning, execution, and closeout of construction projects across our organization. You will work closely with Project Managers, site teams, subcontractors, and internal departments to ensure projects stay on schedule, documentation is accurate, and work is performed efficiently and safely.

Position Details:
41 Massey Rd, Guelph, Ontario, Canada, N1H 7M6
Monday to Friday, 8am-5:00pm
Full-time, on-site with regular visits to construction and project locations
Primary Responsibilities:
Set up and maintain Procore for all assigned projects, ensuring all project records, communications, and documents are updated and traceable
Support the preparation of project closeout documentation including warranty manuals, as-builts, training materials, and related contract deliverables
Manage the timely flow, review, and processing of shop drawings, ensuring accuracy and constructability before Project Manager review
Generate accurate and professional office correspondence, including letters, transmittals, purchase orders, and change orders
Obtain pricing for materials and services, negotiate costs, and coordinate orders in alignment with project schedules
Track, update, and maintain the project schedule bi-weekly in Procore; monitor site progress and ensure required work, materials, and resources align with timelines
Coordinate job site setup and assist in launching new phases of work; collaborate daily with the Site Superintendent to maintain productive workflow and minimize delays
Organize and coordinate surveyors, sub-trades, temporary utilities, and other site requirement
Ensure insurance and bonding documentation is accurate, filed, and up to date for each project
Perform quantity take-offs for miscellaneous materials as required
Stamp shop drawings, prepare documentation for tendering, and maintain project phone lists
Support job costing by verifying that all costs are properly coded and traceable for cost control and forecasting
Protect company assets and maintain strict confidentiality of all business information
Assist with job closing reports and other tasks assigned by the Project Managers or Estimator
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Certificate in Business with Project Management emphasis, Construction Engineering Technology, or Architectural Technology
Preferred: Construction Architectural Technologist or Architectural Technologist with Project Management focus
A business degree combined with these credentials is considered an asset
2-5 years experience working for a construction company, ideally similar to Kiwi Newton Group
Strong ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, multifunctional environment
Proficiency with spreadsheet software, project management software, and strong general computer skills
Ability to read and interpret drawings and create sketches; experience with AutoCAD or Revit
Strong knowledge of the Building Code, permit processes, and familiarity with OHSA (site visit training provided as needed)
Ability to negotiate and purchase construction materials, including custom products
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create professional correspondence, purchase orders, and technical documentation
Strong logical thinking, building science understanding, and the ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously
Physically able to perform site visits, climb buildings under construction, and complete fall-arrest training
Comfortable working in both office and active construction environments
