Nasta Construction in Winnipeg, MB is accepting applications for Construction Project coordinator which requires Full time 40-45 hours per week.
Nasta Construction is seeking a mature, motivated, well articulated and professional individual who carries experience in scheduling, logistical planning, delegation, CCA and CCDC contracts, computer PM software data entry, and blueprint reading.
Primary Applicant Considerations:
Minimum 3+ years of Construction Project Assistant experience in Multi-Family Residential, Light Commercial, Strip Malls & Commercial Tenant Improvements in
Canada
required*
- Relevant training and education through an accredited program / facility is required.
- COR Safety training and CSAM courses are an asset.
- Knowledge of project plans, specifications, blueprints and building elevations.
Extensive knowledge of site equipment
extensive knowledge of construction processes and scheduling
Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
Strong computer skills related to Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, PowerPoint
Existing knowledge and use of Project management software such as Procore, UDA construction online, etc.
Duties
As a Construction Project Assistant, your duties will include the following:
coordinating and scheduling the daily activities of construction trades-people
Coordinating work activities with subcontractors
Establishing methods to meet work schedules and coordinating work activities with other departments/subcontractors/supervisors/managers
Resolving work problems and recommending measures to improve productivity and product quality
Assisting with budget estimates and quotes
Contract creation and filing
Manage pre construction design coordination; RFI's, RFQ's, project data tracking
Collaborate with the construction team, assisting and aligning project goal and objectives
Review construction specifications, project plans, material and labour costs in trade contracts and other contract documents for competences
Prepare, review and submit project contract start-up and close out documents
attend meetings with contractors, consultants and agencies to facilitate timely construction
update and maintain project files and contract documents for effective project management. Including work logging, safety tracking and close out punch lists
Participate in project meetings take minutes and review all related reports
Create purchase orders, work orders, change orders
Prepare and Submit Permit applications
Ordering materials and supplies
Maintain cost control, quality and schedule of the construction site
coordinating and scheduling the activities of related subtrades, helpers and labourers
Provide documentation support for the team
Demonstrates analytical skills with strong attention to detail and presentation
Ability to read blueprints, assess and troubleshoot when discrepancies arise.
Identify discrepancies in contract scopes of work and disciplines
Responsible for providing real-time on site updates using specific mobile device / applications
Work Conditions:
The Construction Project Coordinator will work primarily in office, while also performing routine site visits on jobsites. Coordinator will report to project managers to ensure accurate and up-to-date reports, while coordinating information with Jobsite supervisors and subtrades.
