Project Assistant

to join our team at our

head office in Sherwood Park, Alberta

.

In this role, the Project Assistant will be instrumental in ensuring effective execution by supporting the project manager and cross-functional teams with resource logistics, travel coordination and other project-specific administration. They will be highly detailed, responsive and an organized multi-tasker.

Key Responsibilities




Support project managers with daily coordination activities including logistics, scheduling, procurement, and LEM preparation. Assist with forecasting to anticipate project demands and resource needs. Schedule and facilitate project-related meetings and record detailed minutes. Coordinate employee travel, accommodations, and mobilization logistics based on project schedules. Support procurement and ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment to various projects. Maintain current records of fleet and equipment inventories, including maintenance tracking. Assist with booking of equipment servicing, inspections, and repairs. Provide administrative support for onboarding new field employees and subcontractors. Maintain project's health and safety supplies, including but not limited to, personal protective equipment, truck safety accessories and first aid equipment. Perform ad hoc project support tasks as assigned by the project manager.



Skills & Qualifications:




High school diploma or equivalent. Post-secondary education with a degree, diploma or certificate in administration, project management or other relevant field, is preferred. Minimum of 1 year experience in project administration, coordination, surveying, or a related role. Possess a basic understanding of remote worksite operations, logistics and project workflows. Experience working in an industrial construction or civil engineering company is beneficial. Proficient in Microsoft office suite and previous experience with platforms such as BambooHR, Workhub, Dropbox and SharePoint, considered an asset. Excellent communication skills, effective time management and proven problem-solving ability. Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
