Thibault Contracting Ltd is hiring a Construction Project and Operation Manager. Reporting to the Owner, the successful candidate will oversee and direct all operations of the company. Responsibilities
- The Construction Project and Operation Manager will oversee and direct all operations of the company
- Manage resources (manpower, equipment and materials) on projects from beginning to end with attention to budgetary limitations
- Estimating daily occurring jobs
- Estimating both Lump Sum & Unit Rate Projects
- Be in contact with customers and follow up
- Resolve issues as they arise with internal personnel and external clients while maintaining positive working relationships
- Prepare progress reports, documentation and manage project communications
- Facilitate site meetings and inspections as required
- Coordinate with clients, engineers, contractors, and municipal representatives to ensure project requirements are met
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets and resource plans
- Field work (on-site) when required
- Overall supervision when Owner is away

Skills
- Post-Secondary education with a degree in construction management, civil or structural engineering is an asset
- 10+ years with direct experience working with Earthworks & Underground Utilities
- Experience operating equipment
- Experience in temporary shutdown & emergency water and/or sewer situations
- Ability to work within tight deadlines and ensure work prioritization to achieve them
- Strong critical thinking, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills - Must possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, both verbal and written with superior interpersonal, relationship and organizational management skills
- Must be approachable and capable of working effectively with an open-door policy
- Possess a demonstrated ability to lead and direct projects, analyze issues, and bring innovative solutions to achieving work plan objectives
- Must be people oriented with an ability to establish a high degree of credibility with staff and clients
- Proficient with software such as HCSS Suite, Bluebeam, Agtek, Spectrum, Microsoft Project, Adobe, and all Microsoft Office programs
- Valid Driver's License required
