Construction Pathway Facilitator
to join our team in an
on-call
role.
The ideal candidate will have
over five years of demonstrated experience in the construction industry
and/or as a workforce development facilitator, with
a strong understanding of construction trades, labor market trends, and entry-level pathways
such as pre-apprenticeship or union trades. Journeyman or Red Seal certification is a strong asset. The candidate must possess excellent oral and written English communication skills, with a second language considered an asset, and be proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
A proven ability to engage diverse audiences
, including individuals from underserved communities or with barriers to employment, is essential, along with experience in community-based settings and working with volunteers. Strong communication, leadership, and presentation skills are required, as well as the ability to think critically, manage complex details, and resolve conflicts empathetically. The role requires someone who is self-directed, flexible, and comfortable working independently or as part of a team. Reliable transportation, the ability to meet compliance requirements including a

availability for occasional day, evening, or weekend work

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate and supervise hands-on work experience opportunities for clients pursuing the construction pathway.
Design and deliver hands-on construction-related projects that integrate essential learning.
Research and identify training resources and supports for learners.
Anticipate and mitigate logistical challenges to reduce the impact on program operations.
Facilitate workshops and training sessions focused on construction career pathways, safety protocols (e.g., OSHA 10), tools and materials, and job readiness skills.
Collaborate with workforce staff to support participant recruitment, engagement, and retention.
Deliver curriculum aligned with industry standards and employer expectations.
Coordinate guest speakers, employer panels, and site visits to enhance participant exposure to the industry.
Work closely with case managers and job developers to support participant transitions into apprenticeships or employment.
Ensure a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
Support youth to successfully complete the Trades Connect online training program.
Support case management of clients in collaboration with Trades Connect case workers.
Support referrals to partner programs and organizations that address client needs.
Maintain records of client development and capacity.
Provide individual coaching to participants, including resume development, interview preparation, and job application support.
Provide administrative support to the program
Create and update all required reports, including monthly reports and plans
Maintain accurate attendance, progress tracking, and reporting in accordance with program requirements.
Participates in and supports local community events
Support volunteers and other temporary staff
