Construction Operations Supervisor

Job Description

The Construction Operations Supervisor is responsible for the supervision, organization, and execution of the construction divisions operations as won contract bids are moved into production and from production to final job completion. This includes the training and supervision of field staff, contributing to the prestart up planning, mobilization, and execution of all work requirements, providing quality control through site visits, and working to maximize resource productivity and maintain client satisfaction.

Duties and Responsibilities:


+ Directly supervise crew foreman and crew members. + Ensure equipment and materials are scheduled and on job sites to maintain productivity.
+ Plan and conduct ongoing training for field staff.
+ Ensure health and safety policies and procedures are followed at all times.
+ Monitor and ensure the maintenance and organization of all site laydown areas and job trailers.
+ Determine work procedures: Prepare daily/weekly/monthly work schedules and expedite workflow.
+ Present schedules and timelines to the Construction Manager and clearly communicate these timelines to client GC's, striving to adhere to promised benchmarks of job completion.
+ Follow all project plans, details and specifications to ensure all work in withing contract scope.
+ Understand, follow, and set proper grades, signing off on all final grades prior to moving forward with softscape installation.
+ Maintain documentation of all operations related instructions given to crews.
+ Ensure appropriate scheduling and maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
+ Ensure timely and accurate accounting of crew hours through ASPIRE, including proper job ticket allocation.
+ Maintain consistent communication with the clients to ensure all complaints and site deficiencies are addressed in a timely manner.
+ Working with the Construction Manager, develop procedures and operational protocols to eliminate avoidable client complaints.
+ Monitor field staff efficiency and identify ways to maintain high productivity.
+ Evaluate field staff performance and make wage recommendations to improve employee retention and morale.
+ Report weekly to Construction manager on job progression and budgets.
+ Ensure all project startup procedures are in place. i.e. locates, plant material confirmation from supplier, hired trucks and other subs, ERP,
+ Attend or coordinate a foreman is present for all project weekly subtrade meetings.
+ Ensure all Clintar fleet trucks, trailers and equipment is being maintained daily and corrective actions are in place for damages or noncompliance of Clintar's policies.
+ Ensure site foreman are following the Clintar foreman SOP daily.
+ Communicate with HR for staffing needs and concerns.


Construction Operations Supervisor: As part of the larger Clintar management team other duties may be assigned to support the overall operations of the company as a whole.
