Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Roofer/Laborer to join our team. As a Roofer/Laborer, you will be responsible for assisting with various roofing projects, performing manual labor tasks, and ensuring the completion of projects in a timely and efficient manner. This particular project will be a commercial flat roof.

Responsibilities:

- Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofs

- Carry out tasks such as removing old roofing materials, cleaning work areas, and preparing surfaces for roofing

- Perform heavy lifting and manual labor duties as required

- Use hand tools and power tools to complete assigned tasks

- Follow safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment

- Work closely with the roofing team to complete projects on schedule

- Maintain cleanliness of work areas and equipment

- Assist with caulking, flashing, and other related tasks as needed

- Collaborate with other team members to ensure quality workmanship

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in roofing or construction is preferred but not required

- Ability to follow instructions accurately

- Strong physical stamina and ability to perform heavy lifting

- Knowledge of hand tools commonly used in roofing projects

- Basic carpentry skills are a plus

- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work well in a team environment

- Strong work ethic and commitment to completing tasks efficiently

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain experience in the roofing industry or further develop their skills as a Roofer/Laborer. The ideal candidate will have at least 6 months roofing experience, and experience and knowledge of general construction in some capacity.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract

Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
