Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Construction Labourer with basic mechanical knowledge to support a variety of tasks on job sites. You will work closely with site supervisors and skilled trades to ensure projects run smoothly, efficiently, and safely. This position is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in construction and a good understanding of mechanical systems such as HVAC, plumbing, or piping.

Key Responsibilities:

Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment Assist with installation and repairs of mechanical systems (e.g., HVAC units, piping, plumbing fixtures) Perform basic mechanical tasks such as cutting, threading, or fitting pipes Support licensed technicians during mechanical installations Set up and take down temporary structures (e.g., scaffolding, supports) Operate hand and power tools safely Maintain cleanliness and organization on the job site Follow health and safety standards and wear appropriate PPE at all times Perform general labour duties including lifting, digging, and moving materials

Requirements:

Previous construction Labour or mechanical experience is preferred Basic understanding of plumbing, heating, or mechanical systems Physically fit and able to lift 50+ lbs Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment Comfortable working in various weather conditions Valid driver's license (G) Safety certifications such as WHMIS, Working at Heights, or Confined Space (asset)
