Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Construction Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will start working nights chipping concrete and then be transferred to days doing general labour duties helping other crews.

Responsibilities

Use concrete chipping hammers to remove existing concrete. Assist skilled tradespeople in various construction tasks, including forming, concrete placement, and site clean up. Load and unload materials and equipment from trucks and job sites. Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency. Operate basic construction tools and equipment as needed. Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all team members. Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and according to specifications. Perform general labor tasks such as digging, lifting, and carrying materials.

Qualifications

Previous experience in construction or general labour is preferred but not required. Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform physically demanding tasks. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Familiarity with basic hand tools and power tools is a plus. Willingness to learn new skills and take direction from supervisors.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 50 per week
