Estimator

to our team.

Position Overview

The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate, competitive cost estimates for commercial construction projects from tender through award. This role plays a critical part in supporting our pre-construction efforts and works closely with project management, site teams, subcontractors, and clients.

Key Responsibilities

Review and analyze drawings, specifications, and tender documents Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates Solicit, evaluate, and level subcontractor and supplier pricing Develop complete bid submissions, including scopes, clarifications, and exclusions Assist in value engineering and cost-saving initiatives Maintain organized estimating files and bid records Support handover from estimating to project execution teams Communicate clearly with internal stakeholders throughout the tender process

Qualifications & Experience

1-3 years of experience in construction estimating or a related role Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred) Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications Strong understanding of commercial construction scopes and sequencing

Skills & Competencies

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Experience with Bluebeam Revu and estimating or tender platforms (BuildingConnected, Procore, or similar) Strong analytical and organizational skills High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment Professional communication skills, written and verbal
