The Construction Estimator is responsible for analyzing costs and preparing estimates for construction projects, ensuring accurate budgeting and financial planning.

What you are responsible for:



Prepare estimates of labor and/or material costs Prepare pre-qualification submissions to present clients Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements Prepare estimates for general expenses and overheads Create and submit estimate reports, quote sheets and bids forms Advise on tendering procedures Liaise, consult and communicate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications Monitoring project progress and assisting in identifying and resolving potential issues Communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders Maintaining accurate project documentation, drawings, and records in project management system Supporting value engineering initiatives and identifying cost-saving opportunities Assisting in cost control, budget tracking, and project forecasting

Who we are looking for:



Education

: A degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field is typically required.

Experience

: 3+ years of experience in construction estimator, with a strong understanding of the construction process and cost estimation techniques.

Mathematical Skills:

Excellent mathematical skills and attention to detail are crucial for accurate cost estimation.

Analytical Skills:

Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions based on cost analysis.

Communication Skills:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.

Pay: $75,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
