Job Summary

Prospect Concrete Forming Inc. is a growing concrete forming contractor specializing in ICI projects across Ontario. Our portfolio includes commercial buildings, industrial facilities, institutional structures, and select residential developments. We operate in technically demanding environments where craftsmanship and reliability are essential.

We are seeking a detail-driven ICI Construction Estimator to support our bidding workload and help us price work with accuracy and confidence. This role is crucial in ensuring that projects are completed within budget and on schedule while maintaining high-quality standards.

The Estimator will review tender documents, perform detailed take-offs, prepare labour and material pricing, and assist in assembling complete bid packages for ICI projects.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze tender drawings and specifications for ICI projects Perform detailed quantity take-offs (formwork, concrete, rebar, embedded items) Prepare labour, equipment, and material estimates Identify scope gaps, risks, and clarifications Assist in assembling bid submissions and supporting documents Prepare pricing for extras, changes, and revisions Maintain internal estimating templates and cost databases Track bid invitations and deadlines

Required Skills & Qualifications

2+ years estimating experience

specifically in concrete forming construction

(concrete forming experience is a strong asset) Ability to read structural, architectural, and civil drawings with confidence Understanding of concrete forming systems and site sequencing Strong Excel and PDF take-off skills (Bluebeam or Adobe) Ability to work independently and meet tight tender deadlines Excellent attention to detail

Requirements

Excellent skills in blueprint reading. Proven experience in construction estimating is essential. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and specifications. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment. Familiarity with Bluebeam is a plus. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. A degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is highly desirable but not mandatory. Recent graduates are welcome! Strong negotiation skills to effectively manage supplier relationships.
