Estimator - Cladding

Location: Head Office - 6675 Rexwood Rd, Mississauga, ON L4V 1V1

Reports To: Cladding Estimating Manager

What You'll Do:

Review and analyze blueprints, specifications, and roofing project proposals. Prepare detailed cost estimates for roofing projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and permits. Prepare estimates of probable costs of materials, labour and equipment for construction projects based on contract bids, quotations, schematic drawings and specifications Perform site visits to gather information and details necessary for accurate estimates. Negotiate pricing from suppliers and subcontractors. Advise on tendering procedures, examine and analyze tenders, recommend tender awards and conduct negotiations Establish and maintain tendering process and set up cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors and subcontractors Prepare and submit quotation proposals to clients. Coordinate with project managers and sales teams to understand project requirements and timelines. Track and adjust cost estimates based on project changes and updates. Stay updated on industry trends, material costs, and competitor pricing.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor in Civil Engineering or related field Minimum 2 years of experience in cladding construction, facade systems, or building envelope projects. Strong analytical and mathematical skills for cost estimation and quantity take-offs Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings Excellent communication and organizational skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and clients Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Excel, and GoNest (or similar estimating/optimization software) Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines
