Job Description

Apeiro Construction -- a fast-growing construction and development company specializing in residential, commercial, and custom projects -- is seeking a Senior Estimator with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry in Canada. We are looking for a results-driven professional who can accurately assess costs, analyze plans, and work closely with our management and project teams to ensure competitive and profitable bids.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed estimates, takeoffs, and budgets for residential, commercial, and structural projects.

Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents to determine project scope and material requirements.

Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations to ensure accuracy and competitiveness.

Collaborate with the Project Management team to develop bid strategies and project timelines.

Identify cost-saving opportunities, potential risks, and constructability considerations.

Prepare and present bid proposals and assist in post-tender negotiations.

Maintain an up-to-date database of suppliers, subcontractors, and historical pricing.

Support the development of change orders, budgets, and project cost tracking.

Participate in site visits and pre-construction meetings as required.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience in construction estimating (residential, commercial, or industrial).

Strong knowledge of Ontario Building Code, construction methods, materials, and local trade pricing.

Proficient in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar), MS Excel, and project management tools.

Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with a high level of attention to detail.

Strong communication and negotiation skills when dealing with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.

Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously.

Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field preferred.
