Join our growing team as an Estimator, where your technical expertise will play a key role in delivering successful projects to our clients. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who excels at analyzing requirements, preparing accurate estimates, and developing efficient time management.

Prepare Quotations: Compile information collected to determine which subcontractors to obtain an estimate from, prepare a detailed cost estimate using software and complete a technical proposal for the client. Determine and estimate material, labor, and other costs relating to self-performing work. For tenders review project specifications, drawings, and understand scope of work. Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and vendors. Contribute to the development of project budgets by providing detailed cost breakdowns and collaborating with project manager to ensure financial feasibility. Collaborate with project manager to develop project schedules and budgets. Maintain accurate and detailed records of cost estimates, assumptions, and sources using the estimating software. Ensure that documentation is organized and easily accessible for reference and by others. Negotiate pricing with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain the best possible price. Prepare bid packages and submit proposals. Review project financials after the project has been completed to determine if project margins were maintained or if adjustments to the estimating process needs to be updated.
Qualifications for Successful Candidates:

Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry. An ability to read and comprehend construction drawings. Technical knowledge: A strong understanding of commercial construction, industrial construction and how the components go together to complete a building. Mathematical skills: Exceptional math and analytical skills to accurately perform complex calculations. Attention to detail: A detail-oriented approach to ensure all costs and project variables are accounted for. Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear interaction with customers, vendors, and internal staff. Time management: The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines including tenders. Problem-solving: Critical thinking skills to address potential issues and address them with the team.
Education Requirements:

Architectural Technology diploma or a college diploma in a technical area such as Construction Engineering Technician or Construction Project Management. At least 3-5 years' experience as an estimator in the construction industry.

Expected hours: 40 per week

Wages: Competitive salary based on applicant's experience.
