We are seeking a skilled Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the construction process by accurately assessing project costs and providing detailed estimates. This position requires a strong understanding of construction estimating principles and the ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholders. The Estimator will utilize industry-standard software tools to build comprehensive bids and ensure project profitability.
Duties
Completion of tender site meetings, site takeoffs, plan takeoffs, specifications, subtrades, etc, to provide competitive pricing
Maintain contact and relationships with existing client, Engineering firms and other organizations.
Identifies labour, materials and time requirements.
Complete cost estimates for internal review and project schedules
Site meetings for clarifications with clients and Engineers.
Presents prepared estimates by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information.
Maintain reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
Maintain costs database by entering and backing up data
Contributes to team effort as needed
Work closely and in conjunction with the Project Manager to assure all projects are completed in a timely manner.
Prepare and distribute invoices on the a monthly basis.
Experience
Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field is essential.
Familiarity with project management principles is highly desirable.
Proficiency in using estimating software
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate pricing assessments.
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
