Job Description
We are looking for a skilled
Construction Estimator
with proven experience usingPlanSwift
software to join our growing team. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of construction drawings, materials, and takeoffs, and can produce accurate cost estimates for residential and/or commercial projects.Responsibilities
Review architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and project documents. Perform detailed
quantity takeoffs
usingPlanSwift
. Prepare accuratecost estimates
for labor, materials, and equipment. Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to obtain pricing. Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and project risks. Maintain organized records of bids, revisions, and project communications. Assist in developing project budgets and proposals.Qualifications
Minimum 2-3 years of construction estimating experience
(residential or commercial).Proficiency in PlanSwift software
is required. Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and codes. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Excellent attention to detail and time management skills. Strong Excel or spreadsheet skills for cost breakdowns. Good communication and teamwork abilities.Preferred
Experience with other estimating software or project management tools. Knowledge of local building costs and suppliers. Background in general contracting or specific trades (framing, concrete, etc.).
