We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate project estimates, analyzing project requirements, and collaborating with clients and project teams to ensure successful project execution. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes, pricing strategies, and effective negotiation skills to secure competitive bids and foster client relationships. The Construction Estimator plays a vital role in driving the profitability and success of our construction projects through precise cost analysis and project management expertise.
Responsibilities
Prepare comprehensive construction estimates by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and project requirements.
Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid to develop detailed cost proposals.
Conduct quantity take-offs and pricing for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
Collaborate with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to negotiate costs and scope of work.
Review project plans and specifications to identify potential risks or cost-saving opportunities.
Assist in bid preparation, submission, and follow-up to secure new projects.
Maintain accurate records of estimates, assumptions, and pricing data for future reference.
Support project management teams during project execution by providing cost control insights.
Skills
Proficiency in construction estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam.
Strong negotiation skills to effectively discuss pricing and scope with clients and subcontractors.
Excellent project management capabilities to coordinate multiple estimates simultaneously.
Deep understanding of construction processes, materials, and labor costs.
