The Brooks Composite High School (BCHS) is seeking applications for a Construction Educational Assistant, to work with the CTS Construction teacher to deliver woodworking skills to students. This position will be under a term contract for the 2025/2026 School Year, with the possibility of extension. Educational Assistants (EAs) assist teachers with many instructional and non-instructional tasks in the classroom and with other school activities. EAs work as members of the school and student support team. EAs either work with a particular special needs student or a group of students within a class or in a special program.

Carpentry and Woodworking skills.
Able to measure accurately, make precise cuts, and place and align pieces correctly.
Able to operate a variety of power tools/equipment and assemble and disassemble materials according to safety procedures and protocols.
Able to ensure that safe working procedures and conditions are always adhered to, and follow all safety protocols.
On a daily basis, able to perform tasks that may be physically demanding that includes but not limited to; climbing and balancing; stooping, kneeling, crawling, bending, turning, and reaching; lifting, carrying, pulling and pushing; and prolonged sitting and standing; and able to tolerate and work around dust and fumes.
