Your Responsibilities

As the Construction Coordinator for the KSPC team, you are responsible for the day to day field activities required for a safely executed project. This may include activities in the Wellfield or any projects undertaken and will include both construction and commissioning activities. This may include the overall co-ordination of multiple trades, contractors and miscellaneous field activities. You will also perform the following tasks:

Monitor and coordinate daily project field activities ensuring safe execution of the project. Assist in the development of construction execution plans for wellfield projects, sustaining capital projects as well as any major maintenance projects (MOCs). Support the change management process and be the first point of contact with contractors. Look for ways to continuously improve our processes and work closely with contractors to ensure success while maintaining the budget and schedule. Support the Bethune Site HSSE efforts throughout all stages of construction and commissioning. Ensure contractor mobilization. Validate all Safe Work Permit requests. Manage conflict daily to ensure there no delays in the scope of work. Liaise with operations as required to ensure that all work requiring Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) have been completed and are demonstrating zero energy prior to any work taking place. Co-ordinate, inspect and monitor construction and commissioning activities as required for the project. Provides project timelines and updates to the project scheduler. Ensure timey feedback on constructability and designimprovements.

Journeyperson Certification or Technologist in Electrical Instrumentation is preferred. 3-5 years technical supervisory experience strongly preferred. 8 years' experience in a heavy industrial process setting within the electrical Instrumentation area. Ability to communicate and work within a team. Ability to guide, oversee and influence the safe completion of the work. Watch for issues, plan ahead and schedule Accept responsibility, own decisions, and achieve results despite conflicting priorities. Review work activities and plan material and construction activities to ensure deadlines are met. Good working knowledge of safe work procedures, regulations, and requirements . Competency in performing the necessary tasks within the safety and environmental guidelines. Openness to work with all stakeholders to find the best solutions. Strong MS Office skills including Word and Excel for report writing and document creation.
