Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation across various facilities, ensuring a safe, hygienic, and welcoming environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in facilities maintenance and commercial cleaning while contributing to the overall upkeep of our organization. Prior custodial experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate. A strong work ethic, excellent time management, and effective communication skills are essential for success in this position.

Duties

Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces in commercial or institutional settings Use hand tools and power tools to assist with cleaning and minor maintenance tasks Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, and pressure washers to ensure thorough sanitation Conduct facilities maintenance activities as needed to support the safety and functionality of the premises Handle heavy lifting of supplies and equipment safely and efficiently Maintain supplies inventory and notify management when stock needs replenishing Follow safety protocols and proper handling procedures for cleaning chemicals and equipment Provide excellent customer service by addressing any cleaning-related concerns promptly and professionally

Skills

Experience with custodial or commercial cleaning preferred; training available for motivated candidates Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic facilities maintenance techniques Strong knowledge of cleaning procedures, safety standards, and sanitation practices Excellent time management skills to complete tasks efficiently within scheduled shifts Ability to perform heavy lifting safely (up to 50 pounds) as required by the job Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and respond to client or supervisor requests Customer service orientation with a professional attitude towards clients and colleagues Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high-quality standards
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.75-$19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 50 per week
