Carpenter help support our project in Prince Rupert, BC.

Role Overview:

The Construction Carpenter role is responsible for working on our construction sites in a support role and will work directly with the Site Superintendent.

Role Details (Daily):

Perform carpentry and labor requirements. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements.

Operate equipment as required to construct, erect, install, maintain and repair structures and components of structures during all stages of a project.

Liaise effectively with Site Superintendent and the Project Team.

Ensure company safety policy is being executed on site.

Inspect job site for safety requirements.

Demonstrate high standards of integrity, honesty and fairness.

Seek to improve the efficiency of delivery in all work areas and raise issues and possible ways to improve. Identify potential risks, raise issues, seek advice, and implement solutions as appropriate.

Required Knowledge, Skill & Abilities:

Experience in working on relevant projects and using equipment is essential. You must have physical strength, endurance and work well with your hands. Being good in collaboration and following instructions and safety rules, are also important.

Education and Experience:

2 years experience in construction and carpentry.

Ability to read blueprints and construction plans an asset.

Ability to operator machinery (such as bobcat, forklift etc.).

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Ability to carry out safety initiatives on the job site.

Reliable and hard working.

Willing to learn.

Pay: $38.00-$48.00 per hour
